Allergies are Becoming an Increasing Problem

For several decades, more and more people have been affected by allergies. They often suffer significantly from the overreaction of their immune system responsible for their allergy to essentially harmless substances from the environment.

Allergies can be triggered by inhaling plant pollen, contact with certain metals, medications, food, or insect toxins, among other things. Symptoms include inflamed eyes, shortness of breath, and skin rash. In the worst case, these can even lead to a life-threatening anaphylactic shock.

An IgE Antibody Test Indicates Allergies and Their Treatment

Before an allergy can be successfully treated, the responsible allergens must first be determined. Depending on the type of allergy, these may possibly be avoided, or other treatment approaches, such as hyposensitization, may be chosen.

Our Allergy Sensor offers a comprehensive IgE test that can determine the personal sensitization profile as well as possible cross-reactions.

How Does the Allergy Sensor Work?

As part of the Allergy Sensor, our laboratory examines the submitted sample using an IgE antibody test for more than 100 different allergens. These include, among others, grass pollen, dog and cat hair, as well as foods like milk or wheat.

For the Allergy Sensor, we only examine a blood sample (capillary blood), and the test person does not come into direct contact with potential allergens. Therefore, the examination is completely risk-free.

We summarize the analysis results in a detailed written report that explains which substances can trigger allergic reactions.

In this way, our Allergy Sensor can contribute valuable to the medical treatment of allergies and help affected individuals in the future to avoid contact with allergens.
