Many People Suffer from Food Intolerances

Food intolerances are estimated to be present in over 50% of the population. After consuming an intolerant food, various symptoms, such as digestive problems, may occur.

Symptoms of a food intolerance, unlike an allergy, often develop with a delay. This makes it difficult to determine the food responsible for the intolerance.

Symptoms are Triggered by Misguided Immune Reactions

Causes often include past damage to the intestinal mucosa, such as antibiotic treatment or chemotherapy, digestive problems due to missing enzymes, stress, improper eating habits, and the intake of medications. As a result, undigested food components come into contact with the immune system, which forms food-specific Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. Such misguided immune function triggers inflammatory and autoimmune reactions in the body. Therefore, every person has their own digestive competence, partly inherited, partly acquired, depending on age or environment.

Due to the misguided immune reaction, affected individuals often feel weakened, lack energy, and ill, even though medical examinations find no physical causes. In the event of symptoms, our Food Intolerance Sensor can help identify the responsible foods by detecting IgG antibodies and thus adjust the diet accordingly.

How Does the Food Intolerance Sensor Work?

As part of our Food Intolerance Sensor, our laboratory tests the submitted blood sample using a semi-quantitative immuno-enzymatic method for the formation of IgG antibodies against approximately 180 different foods.

The determined IgG values indicate which foods can trigger weak or strong immune reactions and thus cause symptoms.

We summarize the analysis results in a comprehensive written report that identifies which foods have elevated IgG values. Based on this, we also provide recommendations on which products should be avoided in the future and which alternative foods can be consumed.

Overall, the Food Intolerance Sensor can be used to identify existing food intolerances, compensate for them, and significantly improve the well-being of those affected.

The test is only useful if symptoms are present. The results merely identify potential triggers, which should ideally be validated through an elimination diet.

DEMO – Food Intolerance Sensor

Here You Can Watch a Demo Analysis!

Once your genetic analysis has been successfully completed and reviewed by a scientist, the data will be compiled into an understandable report – similar to how it is presented in this demo. The scientific background information on the genes along with the laboratory results will be published in this report.
